Meet Cranford

This is where I used to tell you a brief, mostly meaningless, autobiography. I am replacing that with my remaining self-portraits. They are also mostly meaningless. Yet, I hope they will do a better job of introducing me to you as an artist and a person. Yes, the lips above are Self-Portrait #7. Browse the site and enjoy!

If you want to know more about me personally, you may wander around my personal blog at www.shoutforjoy.us. To learn how I got started in art, select the steampunk tag. When it came to the bathroom walls, I wanted to faux finish them like traditional, subway tiles. I was going to use a paint pen and a yardstick to draw white grout lines to achieve this. I found that it didn’t work with the glossy paint; not enough friction for the pen. So I drew the lines very lightly with pencil and attempted to paint them with white paint. To my surprise, I could paint straight lines! Part of the traditional subway tiles is occasionally inserting a square, decorative tile. So I painted my Rubber Ducky. One thing led to another.

Art is always better in person.

Please subscribe by email to this site in the footer to receive regular alerts about new artwork added to the collection. My contact info. is also there so you can suggest possible subjects for future projects.

There is an Events page to find out about any upcoming art shows I may be participating in.

I am adding a “Current” post to highlight any project or projects I may be currently in the middle of.

Peace,
